1st day of kindergarden!!!

I can't believe that Makenna is in Kindergarden!! Time flies!!!! She's such a big girl! She was a little nervous, but she did a great job on her first day of ALL DAY kindergarden. I wish it was only half day, I really missed her today!

10th anniversary!!!

Ron got me these beautiful flowers and some yummy chocolates for our anniversary. We also got to spend some time at a day spa where we enjoyed the hot tub and pool and had a relaxing hour long massage! After the massage we each (separately) got to try a sweedish shower and enjoyed strawberries with some sparkling cider out on the patio.

Mini town

We found this cute little play place called minitown the other day! It has a grocery store room, a room set up as a kitchen/living room, a disco dance room, a salon with dress up clothes, a little gym for toddlers, a classroom, and a mini movie theater. The kids had so much fun, it was a great way to end the summer!

Wyatt buying celery.
Kyla on the teeter totter with Alex Spencer.

We found this little track outside. The kids loved the scooters!

Watching princess and the pauper in the theater.

Making dinner.
Dancin' it up in the disco room!

Super Wyatt

Makenna Put this "cape" on Wyatt. He thought it was hilarious!

Wyatt had decided to walk!

Apparently Wyatt was teasing when he walked for the video we previously blogged. He stopped walking after we got that video! We'd try to stand him up and he'd either lift his legs up into a sitting position or he'd relax them. Stinker! We finally noticed that he had a blister on every single one of his little toes! So sad!! So, I stopped putting shoes on him and the blisters have now healed. We were hanging out in the family room the other day and I turned around to see him standing in the middle of the room! I had no idea he was capable of standing himself up! As I watched, he proceeded to walk himself over to the couch and the rest is history! Remember to go to the blog archive on the left side of the page and click on August so you can see all of our updates!

Triathlon

My friend and I did a triathlon last Saturday! It was so much fun! I just can't believe I ran the wrong way during the running portion of the race!!! One of the officials told me I needed to turn around (after I'd been running awhile of course) because I'd gone the wrong way! It was so discouraging to turn around and see all the people who had previously been behind me now passing me! I felt like such an idiot (especially since a few people followed me)! Oops!!
Waiting to start!
Finish line!
Here I am, posing with my fans! I'm so thankful for Ron and his willingness to get all the kids up early and bring them to the race! It was so motivating to hear their cheers as I past by! As you can see the kids were tired and grumpy. But, Ron did a great job taking pictures and video as well as watching the kids! What a great guy!

Aubrey Spencer and I after the race.

Kids in the Kitchen

The kids have really enjoyed helping me each night to make dinner. Wyatt loves to stand on the stool and watch!

Swimming

We went swimming the other day and Makenna had so much fun going down this water slide by herself! She screamed the whole way down every time!

The big accident

This is Wyatt's first big accident! It was so sad! He fell and hit his head on the edge of the bathtub. We're so lucky that we live around so many doctors! One of our neighbors had some durmabond so we didn't have to take him to the emergency room (Thanks Kiley!). Another neighbor (a pediatrician) came over to apply the durmabond (Thanks Miki!). We had to wrap Wyatt up in a sheet so he wouldn't move. We laid him on the kitchen counter and went to work! I held his head straight while Ron held the "wound" together and our friend, Miki, applied the durmabond. We were so thankful that Kiley had some durmabond so that Wyatt wouldn't have to get stitches! Thank goodness for durmabond!!!! I posted these pictures backwards. The first one is a few days after the accident.

Trip to California

Ron's family decided to have a reunion so we got to go home to CA for a week and a half! We had so much fun! We did a lot and took a lot of pictures! In order to see all of the trip you'll have to look in the blog archive and click on August.

Waiting in the airport

This is how Ron and Makenna spent their time waiting for our delayed flight to CA. Makenna was soooo sick! The poor thing was up all night the night before we left (I guess I should say that we were all up the night before)! She was throwing up all day! By the end of the day Ron, Makenna, and I all had vomit all over us!
This is how we kept Kyla from roaming the airport and Wyatt from crying while we waited for our delayed flight to CA. I don't know how long I pushed them around in that wheelchair!

Just a few cute videos of Wyatt

Wyatt talking

Wyatt takes any chance he can get to climb on something!

Wyatt loved watching Loky run around. He'd squeel and laugh with delight! It was fun to watch!

Dinner at the restaurant

Aunt Jackie and Uncle Vince did a great job of keeping the girls busy at the restaurant.

Swimming at Nanna's

Cutting hair

The girls got their hair cut. It was Kyla's first hair cut!
Wyatt still loves putting shoes on his hands!
The girls had fun playing with the water balloons even though it only lasted a few minutes! For some reason they loved wearing Nanna's gardening gloves.

Makenna really enjoyed taking Loky for walks. She did such a good job making sure she was safe!
My parents have a park down the street from their house. It was a lot of fun to get to go to the park without feeling like you're going to die of the heat like we do in Texas!

Doctor Kyla

Kyla did a good job of making sure Papa was taken care of!
Kyla just about wore Uncle Vince out with all the airplane rides!
