I can't believe that Makenna is in Kindergarden!! Time flies!!!! She's such a big girl! She was a little nervous, but she did a great job on her first day of ALL DAY kindergarden. I wish it was only half day, I really missed her today!
Hey girl! I found your blog on Andrea's. Time sure does fly. Tyler started Pre-K this week, Emi started 1st and Grace is in 4th now! Wow, that makes me feel old.
We moved from San Antonio to Anchorage Alaska in July of 2009 after Ron finished his residency in internal medicine. He is now working as an internal medicine doctor at the hospital on Elmendorf Air Force base.
All the kids are in bed and Kyla comes to the top of the stairs. Kyla: I had a bad dream and I'm scared. Me: I'm sorry, what did you dream about? Kyla: That I was a pinata and people were hitting me.
Ron and Kyla at the lunch table: Kyla: Daddy, I need a hiding spot! Ron: You do? Who are you hiding from? Kyla: You dad!
Ron and Makenna looking in the mirror: Ron: Daddy is getting old. I'm loosing my hair on the sides. Makenna: Well, if you'd stop cutting it right there!
Me: Today we get to go to our friends house! Her mom's name is Mary. Makenna: Hey, just like mary had a little lamb! I think she is the Mary that had a little lamb!
-Me: Kyla what are you going to ask Santa for? Kyla: I'm gonna ask him to tie my shoes!
-We went out to dinner the other night. Kyla: mom, can I have some ice cream? Me: I don't have any ice cream. Kyla: Yes they do, we're at a restaurant ya know!
-Me: Makenna, what was your favorite part about your first day of kindergarden? Makenna: naptime, I slept the whole time 'cause I was sooo tired!
-Kyla: Look! That's a dog! I want a puppy! No, I want a cow. Can I have a cow? Yeah, I want a cow.
-Kyla: Where's daddy? Me: He's at work. Kyla: I don't think so he's at work, he's playing hide and seek!
-Ron: Makenna, if you could ask Thomas S. Monson (the president of our church) anything you wanted what would you ask? Makenna: I'd tell him jokes
-Driving on the freeway, a little rock hits the windshield. Me: what was that? Kyla: maybe someone's throwing rocks at us! Makenna: I think it was heavenly father snapping his fingers!
-In the store shopping for facewash. Makenna: why do you need face wash. Me: It keeps my face clean so I don't get any zits. Kyla: But I don't have any zips!
-Talking about the dangers of the water. Makenna: If I get tired, I just flip onto my back. But what if there's an undertoad? (under toe)
-We were playing Jenga and the tower was getting pretty tall. Makenna: What if this tower got so tall it reached up to heaven? Me: Maybe Heavenly Father would take a turn playing with us! Makenna: No, maybe he would change all of our languages! (tower of Babel)
-Makenna: Hey, who tooted? Kyla: Santa, I think it was Santa.
-Makenna: This music sounds like a ghost! Kyla: Oooo it's the holy ghost!
- The other day Makenna got hurt and was bleeding. Dialogue between Makenna and Ron: So what do we do when we start to bleed? Makenna: put our blood pressure on it.
-Me: Kyla, come dance with us! Kyla: No, I just want to pick my nose.
